On the Painting Table: Transfinite Emergence Projector

And here is my lovely new Transfinite Emergence Projector, a wedding present from my lovely wife!

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. It's a whacky model but very cool and I kind of love it.

Even if it does look rather like a big silver dildo.

And here are the servitor droids that float round it, enhancing its firepower and providing ablative armour.

Answer The Call of the Storm!

I have been planning for a Storm-focused Cygnar army for SO LONG!

Now I've finally done it!

First up with have the Stormsmith Storm Tower, a light artillery piece that shoots electricity.

And of course the signature Storm Callers. These little dudes are solos and are able to triangulate a series of lightning strikes from on high.

A Storm-based list wouldn't be complete without Nemo as your warcaster and here he is in his latest incarnation as Artificer General Nemo with his  lovely assistant, Chaser Adept Caitlin Finch.

But I was on a roll with my painting so why not throw on a couple of non-Storm miniatures?

Major Markus "Siege" Brisbane, another warcaster my lovely wife bought me for Valentines Day.

And a ubiquitous Journeyman Warcaster.

On the Painting Table: Convergence of Cyriss

Well after a long break, allow me to present my Convergence of Cyriss starter set.

They were painted metal, black washed down then drybrushed back up.

There are Tin Bitz parts highlightedwith Hashut Copper. The glowy bits were done with Skink Blue, Etherium Blue and then Ceranite White (all GW paints).

They got their asses kicked but good in their first game mainly because the two light vecrots are rubbish.

This guy is cool but I made the mistake of trying him in combat with all his focus. He died after achieving very little.

On the Painting Table: Warpborn Skinwalkers

Aroooooooooooooo!!!!!

The Warpborn Skinwalkers are some of the nicest Hordes miniatures available and a unit of five comes in the Two Player Battle Box!

Sadly, they have been pretty terrible in every game so far but with the future addition of their unit attachment their effectiveness should literally double.

We'll see...

On a side note, my wife pointed out, quite accurately that they bear more than a passing resemblance to Mrs Tiggy Winkle.

You decide!

And yes I should have picked the detail on their armour out in gold.

On the Painting Table: Legion of Everblight Shepherd

Just a short one today.

It's a Legion of Everblight Shepherd!

She's a pretty nice model but I bought this shepherdess strictly for her abilities.

She can expand the Warbeast control bubble allowing Warbeasts to act with more versatility, managing fury points and providing healing. An absolute must-have!

The paint-job is nothing to write home about but its serviceable for play.

On the Painting Table: Scather Crew

The Legion of Everblight Scather is a nice little unit that I got by surprise.

My lovely wife bought it me for my birthday from my Amazon Wish List and I'd totally forgotten I'd put it down.

They were my first Blighted Nyss models on foot so I had to decide on the entire armie's colour scheme right there. I'm reasonably happy.

They look slightly better in person than they do here.

It was dark turquise then mid with a touch of light. The furry bits were Graveyard Earth | Kommando Khaki and the rest was Graveyard Earth | Black Wash | Graveyard Earth.

The catapult itself it really nice.

They got their ass kicked in their first game but they looked good doing it and they had one good round of shooting.

Better deployment next time I think.
